Parent and Student Commitments

Attendance & Advance Sign-Up Requirements

Students must sign up for their preferred adventures and submit any required waivers through Canvas (our online learning platform) in advance so staff can plan accordingly.

  • Adventures typically last 2-5 hours.

  • Students must stay for the full duration of each adventure they attend.

Credit & Grading

Adventures courses are pass/fail. To receive passing credit, students must:

  • Attend at least 7 out of 10 adventures per semester.

  • Complete required online assignments related to the course.

Students who join the semester late or have unique circumstances that may affect course requirements must receive approval before enrolling to ensure they can receive proper credit.

Students who fail an Adventures course may not participate in another one the following semester without approval from the Executive Director.

Transportation

Parents are responsible for arranging transportation to and from each adventure, and locations will change weekly. Details for each adventure can be found in your student's Canvas course.
